This was posted on artsync.ca last month, a nice short doc profiling 4 artists and their works.

Sarah Lightman is a comics artist, a scholar studying autobiography in comics, and co-curator of the exhibitGraphic Details: Confessional Comics by Jewish Women, presented in Toronto by the Koffler Centre of the Arts. Her interests – in both her practice and research – concern the ‘drawn wounds’ that comics expose, the redemptive potential of graphic storytelling, and the communities that art creates.
Shannon Gerard works across several media in her efforts to document – and ultimately, perhaps, to forgive – the human condition. Sensitive to distinctions between platforms of display, she has recently produced a multi-venue project in Unspent Love, whose evolution can be traced here.

Michael Kaminer is a journalist and the co-curator of Graphic Details: Confessional Comics by Jewish Women. An avid collector of comics, he describes himself as an amateur in the original sense: driven by passion for the scene and invested in acknowledging its contributors.

Nina Bunjevac trained in painting and then sculpture installation before discovering the narrative potential of comics. Attracted by the integration of text, the role of humour, and the accessibility of the populist medium, she showed recently – at the Here and There exhibit at Propeller Centre – for the first time as a comics artist.
