First Woman Cartoonist in Canada?

In her long career as a photographer, she became quite well-known for portraits, including many of celebrities, politicians and royalty. [/wpcol_1half] [wpcol_1half_end id=”” class=”” style=””]She is certainly the earliest English-language woman cartoonist to work in Canada I am aware of. This sample comes From The Farmers’ Magazine, Toronto, 1920. Keene (her married name was Perinchief) produced photography for Canadian magazines in the 1940s and 50s as well.
