A new mini comics festival is scheduled to take place in the town of Shawinigan, Quebec over two weeks in February. Le Festival interglacial de la BD et des universe givrés is the brainchild of organizer Bryan Perro and is designed to highlight a winter theme combining the culture of cold, fantasy, literature, and comics in a fun semi-outdoor setting. As well as appearances and signings from Quebec cartoonists, the festival will coincide with an exhibit devoted to Argentine cartoonist Quino’s Mafalda character, hosted by the Centre d’exposition Léo-Ayotte, inside the Centre des arts de Shawinigan, running February 6-22.
The festival runs February 6-8 and February 13-15
