Cartoonist Diana Tamblyn has once again organized a comics festival in London, Ontario, and it’s happening next week!
The 3 weeks of events kick off April 25 with an opening reception for the Festival and its gallery show. There are lots of family-friendly library-themed events, film screenings and making-comics workshops scheduled, as well as an exhibit of work and signings by cartoonists. I think Joe Ollmann and David Collier are the highlights of the show, with the possible exception of cartoonist Merle “Ting” Tingley –the man for whom the festival in named.
Tamblyn and Ting got a nice write-up in the London Free Press, in which it is noted that last year’s event was the best-attended show ever for the host gallery, The ARTS Project.
