It’s another Sunday C-List!
The fan, smothered in excrement, is threatening to rip loose from its moorings as we collectively either watch in horror or look away.
But these Comics won’t make themselves, so here’s what Canadian creators have been up to that I’ve gleaned from their social media posts! I’m following you all on Bsky and Meta and via various subs, let me know if you want to be included!
First I’m going to point to myself here briefly. Because along with restarting the C-List updates I’ve returned to personal blogging on my home web page. Been working on the follow up to Dream Life and other comics for the first edition of Mind Engine. Hopefully to launch at FBDM and I’ve applied to a couple other summer fests as well.
Updates I post to there go out from it to most of my active social media automatically but I’m trying to wean myself off using all of that directly or depending on it so much again. I hope I can draw more folks away, off the walled garden platforms. For now it’s often the easiest way still to reach people and find things, but I’m working slowly on shifting to other modalities.
Over on Blue Sky, US author and activist Greg Pak was posting about starting up a web ring! So I’ve gleefully joined that little venture, I hope it grows! Both my own blog and this one are on it, you’ll find the banner gif and links over in the side bar! Once you’re done here, go forth and explor!
Back before the primacy of search engines and walled gardens I had joined a number of rings and had massive link rolls in my side bars, it was how you navigated the niches and crevices of the internet back in the day.
I don’t know if it’s going to take off again the same way but I’m all in for this nostalgic approach to navigating the wilds outside of the walled gardens.
Ok, what have all other hosers been up to?
