A lightly curated link blog post
summarizing and directing you
to the posts and sites of
🍁Canadian Comics/BD creators,
Publishers and retailers!

Item: Hey Kids! Comics! ‪Doug Savage‬ ‪posted that Jellyfish Facts is up on GoComics today and shared some bonus content on his IG page. The Chickens persist despite no help from family. Life continues to be Savage.

Item: I’ve launched this incarnation of the C-list with a lot of assist from the feeds on Bsky, they make it much easier to track things. But for simply posting my art after I Glaze/NS it, I’m a fan of Cara. It’s not a lot but I pitch in monthly to help keep it going and it’s been pretty good. Any other 🍁Canadian artists we should be tracking on there? I’m going to go looking latter but let us know@ Here’s my best 9 currently, give me a holler over there and tell me the C-List sent you!

Item: Samantha Leriche-Gionet aka Boum is really super diverse with her work, she’s a freind but bias aside it’s impressive. A lot of folks know her for her cartoon diary web comics The Boumeries, I kicked off the last instalment of the C-List with one. But she has done a lot of other things and all while being a parent too. Recently she had a huge success with her 2022 graphic novel ‘La méduse’/’The Jellyfish’, available in Fr & En both from Pow Pow. Which was inspired by her experience of losing the sight in her right eye the year before! This isn’t new but was just noting her accomplishments myself! [bsky][META][LinkTree]

Item: Craig Taillefer’s crowdfunded for Sîan: Thief of Khor-Shavarah #1 has 4 days to go! It’s successful, so get in to get it.

Item: Chris Howard & Jeff Wasson’s Egesta Comics is posting WIP along with their web comics updates on their socials here.

Item: We asked folks on the new place to give us a shout so we could follow them, here’s a few we’ve just added! More to come too!

To be continued!
Tag us if you are a can-con comics person
for sure, don’t be shy!

Item: Robin Bougie – of Cinema Sewer, Gutter Hunter and Sleazy Slice – posted “Some of you might be wondering what I’ve been working on for the last couple years…. Well, here’s SONIC SEWER! Look at that book cover by Vince Ruarus?! Goddamn. Pre-Orders will be going live next week exclusively at my web store and at FAB Press. Stay tuned in the coming days for more details!” [bsky][META]

Item: Jean-Dominic Leduc and Marc Tessier are preparing a report from their adventures this past week at Angouleme BDQ2025. You will be able to read it in the April 2025 edition of the Revue Les libraires.

Item: Julien Paré-Sorel I saw was there as well, and he’ll be at the Salon du livre Jeunesse de Longueuil [Longueuil Youth Book Fair] this weekend! He gets around!

Item: A lot of us have been compelled to note the insanity going on to the south of us, and it’s global echo’s. Jay Stephens posted this very positive vibe I liked [linklink]. FYI he’s also had a rough year personally, you should go show him some love and hugs! [Bsky][META] Just because. And then go check out his comics ‘n stuff!

Item: Was happy to find Pia Guerra on Bsky this week, the algos had been hiding her stuff from me on the bad places a lot. She’s still doing sharp zingers. Her and her partner Ian Boothby of Hellkitty studios always make with the wry insights.

Item: Gary Taxali has been all over this since the start of the election, and posting many of his iconic hyper graphic cartoons about it along with his other art. [Bsky][WWW]

Item: Michael de Adder has been working the new place pretty hard since joining, look at that follow count!

Our premier political cartoonist these days, he’s tearing it up and sharing his stuff in the new feeds [as do others] along side some subscribers only stuff on his Substack. Give him a follow! He’s also still in the bad place here.

Item: And, I had my own feelings about all this recently too! I don’t do a lot of political cartoons but now and then the urge strikes. This time, it was something I a few friends were all feeling that inspired me to do this. I’m all for boycotting & counter tariffing as strategic leverage against Trump’s BS. But there is a certain palpable, corpse ridden murderous hypocrisy, to this contrast in stances. Boycott for me, but not for thee!

Item: Calling back to a certain fetish we all wish we knew less about I’m sure, Bruce MacKinnon shared this one I liked. I don’t see him in the new place but still over in the bad place but this is the first update in a while there.

Item: Marc Roy has been doing some small press comics I recently encountered for the first time along with him at a small MTL show. I wonder how currently events will be lampooned in them?

Item: If that’s a bit too much of the Orange one for you, take a break by following ‪Debbie Ridpath Ohi’s Uplift Feed for some of what it’s ladled!

Item: And I think I’ll end this post by pointing over to Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas, who’s posting WIP on an a commission and been whispering things into my ear.

I think I have more to share but this is as much as I can do for one post! Might be a part two later this weekend, but if not you know what to do. Share this from the blog, and go visit all canucks and enjoy their comics!
