“Gal-loween” at Paradise Comics

Organizer Alice Quinn writes about the latest Ladies Night event in Toronto,:
“This wonderful event is back again this month for a Galloween Edition for women to gather and socialize in Toronto around their love for comics and geek culture!
We are so happy to see so many female fans and creators come out to this event on a regular basis. Our focus is a casual, inclusive, safe(r) space for women in Toronto to socialize and share their love of comics and geekdom. This event is held at no cost to the attendees, and is open to all female-identifying members of the public. In the past year we have held Comic Shop Ladies Night at The Sidekick, the TCAF Shop, Silver Snail and The Beguiling and have seen growth and new faces at each event. In October we are excited to be heading Paradise Comics for our first ever Galloween Edition!
We believe these events are truly important to help reach out to fans and young women who may have trouble finding their nerdy peers. If we manage to reach out to one closet fan and introduce her to the amazing people in Toronto and encourage her that she can be herself – then we consider it a successful Ladies Night!”
