The RAID Studio in Toronto is an award winning artist collective which brings together artists and writers to foster creativity and collaborate on projects. Formed in 2002 this group has helped to grow the career of Toronto based comic book creators including Chip Zdarsky, Francis Manapul, Andy Belanger and Kalman Andrasofsky.
After moving to a location in the Parkdale neighbourhood 2018, their new space provided the opportunity to open a cafe and gallery in the front of the building. It has taken some time for this to come to fruition. But now the wait is over and they are debuting their first full exhibition!
Cauldron Magazine is a Toronto based magazine sized comic anthology focusing on horror and the occult. After 2 successful issues they have just launched their 3rd on Kickstarter here which runs until October 17. To coincide with the launch of this issue they are holding an art exhibition at the RAID Studio’s gallery from September 18 to October 17. Magazine contributor Shane Heron is a member of RAID studio and other contributors have worked with the studio before.
