In what is a very different year for sure, the Toronto Comics Arts Festival has launched as an online version for 2021 after being cancelled in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s festival includes Canzine and Comics x Games all in one. The main online marketplace for buying comics, zines and other merchandise from creators and small publishers is online at https://brokenpencil.com/tcaf/ from May 8-15. You’ll be able to add items from all merchants into one order then checkout and receive it one shipment after several weeks. Creators will send in all sold merchandise which will then get re organized into everyone’s orders. So your actual order won’t arrive for about 6 or 8 weeks. But since a lot of these comics and items are not sold in stores it is worth the wait. There are also many online panels about important topics in comics being discussed. Most will be available on the TCAF youtube page but the full listing and links is available here. For the comics x games portion they are streaming live on twitch on the HandEye Society page.
