Expozine, Montreal’s enormous small press fair, is one of the most anticipated events of the year, impossible to miss if you’re a fan of print publications, art, the ephemeral and the unique. Upon entering the main hall, one is taken first with the smell of ink and paper, heralding a thousand finds. Then it’s a matter of discovery, surveying so many new books and all imaginable derivatives thereof: zines, artists’ books, graphic novels, alternative comics and the uncategorizable. These are the labours of love of some 300 exhibitors, publishers, authors and artists, in both French and English, from all over Canada, Quebec and abroad, many exclusive titles printed in very limited quantities, available for the most part only at Expozine.

Literally thousands of different publications can be found at Expozine, with dozens of brand-new publications being launched there as well. It’s THE « salon du livre » for readers interested in today’s underground and alternative publications!

Not to be missed, Expozine is a heck of an opportunity to plunge into the rich and exotic world of independent publishing!
