This June, the Art Gallery of Hamilton is hosting a show devoted to underground comix called This Is Serious. The exhibit is co-curated by Alana Traficante and Hamilton-based cartooning great Joe Ollmann. Besides being a tribute to local boy Doug Wright, the show will feature original art and artifacts from a massive list of contemporary cartoonists. As well, comics publisher Conundrum Press will be publishing a full catalog of the show if you can’t make the trek to The Hammer.
